Music On Hold does not play
Error description:

I discovered that for some users in the company, Music on Hold did not play when a caller was placed on hold or when the call was being trasfered to someone else. There was no way of getting the Music on Hold play, whatever you did in Lync.

Symptoms:

At the same time, in the Lync options > audio settings, the Music on hold setting looked correct, the selected default MOH file was present on the default location, ... everything looked OK.

Solution:

Although all settings where correct, some registry values were missing from the registry:

You should add these two and create the keys higher up in the registry in case they are not present yet.
